Nothing Less than 100%, Nothing More than 350.

The science is clear: We need to act now. World leaders gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark in December, 2009 and failed to agree on a binding, aggressive, and fair global treaty.  Our leaders in congress have similalry failed to act, but individuals across Massachusetts are standing up and declaring their leadership.  Students, Businesspeople, Clergy, and Legislators.  We will not stop until our state commits to repowering with 100% Clean Electricity by 2020.  Join us.

Breaking News: Court Proceedings begin against 200 participants of Boston Common Sleep-Outs.

And sign our petition!

This Spring, we will work with our legislators towards the goal of passing "An Act to Create a Repower Massachusetts Emergency Task Force" by Earth Day, 2010.

We will work on our campuses and in our communities to build power.  And three times this spring, we will gather together to demonstrate the depth of our commitment by refusing to sleep in our homes, dorms, and apartments powered by dirty electricity.

  • February 20th-21st, Amherst Common Sleep-out
  • March 28th-29th, Cambridge Common Sleep-out and March
  • April 21st-22nd, Boston Common Earth Day Sleep-out and Lobby Day

Last fall, hundreds of people around the state participated in protests like these.  And 200 risked the legal consequences of sleeping out on the Boston Common after it closed at 11:00PM.  We will be repeating this act of solidarity the night before Earth Day.  We invite all people of conscience from across Massachusetts (and beyond) to join us in this action.
